Hello there, this is Lourenço! I'm an economist by training, farmer by trade, nerd by passion. Been using GNU/Linux full-time since I built my first PC at 14; with a knack for system administration, I excel at developing new solutions to problems I have - the hacker ethos.
I'm a pretty eclectic person, with a wide range of hobbies - which at the moment include gardening, hiking, photography and programming in Golang. Get in touch, and I'm sure we'll hit it off!
April 2023 - April 2024
Administering a fleet of over 400 machines, both on-premesis and cloud-based (AWS EC2), performing tasks that ranged from regular maintenance, deploying updates to software and infrastucture (Jenkins), changing configurations (Ansible), as well as user management (AWS IAM) and monitoring (Zabbix, AWS CloudTrail).
January 2022 - February 2023
Working for a leading FinTech company, I started by serving as a Financial Analyst while helping develop an internally developed AI application; soon moved to the position of Project Manager where I lead the onboarding of a large client from the banking sector, while leading a team of 5 other Financial Analysts allocated to said client.
April 2015 - December 2024
Created and managed a start-up in the agricultural sector, that produced and commercialized organic products. As managing partner of a small start-up, I oversaw the complete day-to-day operations of the orchards as well as managing all the other necessary functions for the healthy development of the company: business development, client prospection, sales efforts (mostly with B2B clients), accounting necessities, and so on.
